- All bowlers must register at Tournament Control at least 30 minutes prior to the schedule squad. Any bowler failing to do so may be prevented from taking his place in the tournament at the discretion of the Tournament Manager.
- All bowlers shall bowl a single 6 game qualifying squad, changing lanes after every two games
The Top 33% of the entry (max 32 Men & 18 Ladies) shall progress to a 4 game Final. - Finalists will carry Forward 100% of their Qualifying Score to the Final. Final positions will be determined by total scores bowled including all handicaps and bonuses
- In the event of a tie for any of the cut positions, the bowler with the highest last game (including bonuses) shall be awarded the place. Should this result in a further tie, then the penultimate game shall decide the placing and so on.
- If there are any ties for prize places, the prize money will be shared equally among the competitors involved. With the exception of tie for 1st place when a one game roll off shall be bowled.
- A provisional ball must be rolled if a dispute relating to pin fall cannot be resolved immediately.
- Protests must be made within 30 minutes of any infraction occurring and confirmed in writing within 72 hours to the Tournament Manager.
- The Tournament Manager reserves the right to reject any entry and his decision on all matters shall be final. Subject to an appeal to the B.T.B.A.
- The consumption of alcohol is forbidden during a Squad.
- The consumption of tobacco including electric substitutes is forbidden during a Squad.
- Bowlers are asked to wear Bowling attire that has their names visible on the back.
- Bowlers will be expected to be in the centre for registration at least 30 minutes before the squad time.Practice to start 10 minutes before the scheduled squad time. Late bowlers to start at frame in progress when they arrive. Previous frames will count as Zero.
Eligibility and Entry
- The Tournament is open to B.T.B.A. members and affiliated members only. Members unable to provide evidence of current membership will be required to pay a fine of £5.00. Display of membership details from BTBA website is acceptable. Any prize fund will be withheld until proof of membership has been obtained.
- Members must be 45 years of age before the 1st January in the year that they wish to participate.
- Squads will be allocated on a first come, first-served basis.
- Bowlers that are unable to book their first choice squad can apply by email to [email protected] to be placed on a waiting list. Preference will be given to those travelling over 80 miles. Other bowlers on the waiting list will be filled on a first come first served basis.
- Members will receive electronic confirmation of their entry, upon receipt of a completed entry form and receipt of payment. Places cannot be booked without payment.
Entry Fees
The entry fee for all Tour events, will be £45.00, This will include £1 TE Fund and £5 for the Order of Merit . Until we are able to develop a fully online booking system, all entries and proof of payment must be sent to the tour administrator by email on [email protected]. Members are requested to send money via bank transfer to the following account.

Handicaps
The BTBA Tenpin Tour will be played as Handicap events and will also provide Bowlers with a Pin Bonus based on previous individual performance in Tenpin Tour tournaments.

- Handicaps will be calculated using a Tour Average of 220 which will be deemed to be scratch. Any Bowler with a verifiable Individual Bowling Average of 219 or less will receive a handicap.
- The Bowlers HCP will be 80% of the difference between their Individual Average and 220 (Scratch). Individual Bowling Averages will be adjusted before every tournament.
Individual Averages
Individual Averages shall be determined from existing bowling averages in the following precedence:

- Current Tenpin Tour tournament average. Which will be maintained as a rolling average based on the last 12 months of TPT tournaments.
- BTBA tour events within the last 12 months.
- Certified current highest league average (minimum 21 games).
- Bowlers without current averages may enter the tournament with a handicap of scratch and their score will be used to determine their future Tenpin Tour Handicap.
- For new members entering for the first time, after the initial six games if the average of these six games is more than 15 pins above the entering average the players entering average will be rerated to 2/3 of the difference between entering average and the average bowled in the initial six games. Example:
- Entering average =180
- Bowled average =210
- Rerated entering average would be =200
Bonus System
Bowlers will carry forward a Bonus from one tournament to another based on the following criteria:

- Bowlers who fail to make the Final will receive 2 bonus pins in the next tournament
- Bowlers achieving a Final will lose 100% of their bonus pins in the next tournament
Prize fund allocation
- All prize fund will be paid out 100%
- Prize Funds will be distributed by online payment into individual bank accounts within 3 days of the results being received by the administration team.
- Every bowler that makes the 33% cut for the final round will receive a minimum of £10.00
- The top finishers will receive a position bonus in addition to the £10 paid for qualifying using the following proportions.
- MEN - 1st 33%, 2nd 20%, 3rd 15%, 4th 10%, 5th 8%, 6th 6%, 7th 5%, 8th 3%
- LADIES - 1st 35%, 2nd 22%, 3rd 15%, 4th 12%, 5th 10%, 6th 6%
- However Tenpintour reserve the right to vary the payout percentages if the number of entries change significantly.
Order of Merit
Order of Merit (OOM) ranking points will be awarded throughout the year based on final positions at each event.
OOM points will be awarded as follows:
In addition prizes will be paid to OOM finalist as follows:

2nd £100.00
3rd - 5th £ 50.00
Women 1st £ 80.00
2nd £ 60.00
3rd - 5th £ 30.00
In the event of tied positions the prize money will be shared equally among the competitors involved.
Ties for complementary entry into the masters the places will be awarded as follows.
Order of Merit (OOM) ranking points will be awarded throughout the year based on final positions at each event.

- Men: 1st: 100 points, 2nd:99 points, 3rd: 98 points decreasing to 1 point for 100th place.
- Women: 1st: 25 points, 2nd: 24 points, 3rd: 23 points decreasing to 1 point for the 25th place.
In addition prizes will be paid to OOM finalist as follows:

In the event of tied positions the prize money will be shared equally among the competitors involved.
Ties for complementary entry into the masters the places will be awarded as follows.
- The bowler that has competed in the most TPT events this season
- The bowler with the Highest Individual Average at the conclusion of the season.
- The bowler with the highest individual high game during this season, or the next highest game and so on.
